Dinner in the Hayfield: A Night Under the Texas Stars

This past Fall we began hosting Dinner in the Hayfield at Blue Hills Round Top, and it went so wonderfully that we decided to do something crazy this March and host two. What started as a way to bring creatives, designers, shoppers, and everyone and anyone together to connect and get to know one another around the dinner table, while celebrating the fun and craziness of Round Top, grew into so much more. At Hibiscus Linens our motto is "Make pretty things; Love pretty things" and what better way to honor that than to throw a party (or two), right?!

So we brought out our table linens, hand stitched a couple hundred floral dinner napkins, hand painted some paper mache keepsake vases, and invited you all to dine under the Texan stars with us. Not only did you show up for us, but you came and created such an unforgettable night of laughter and appreciation for the beauty in life that reminds us why we got into the hospitality business in the first place.

One way we like to honor the heart of Round Top is by showcasing the small businesses that show at Blue Hills. Christy Lynn Collection, as seen above, joined the Love Pretty Things Pop-up with us this Spring and her romantic dresses could not have been a more perfect fit for the hayfield and its beautiful wildflowers.

In 2018, while planning her wedding, Christy Lynn Lee knew she wanted to design pieces for herself and her bridal party. What started as a desire for a few custom dresses turned into a full wardrobe for the traveling bride. This was the first Christy Lynn capsule collection. She launched her first ready-to-wear collection for Spring 2020 and since then her eponymous brand has quickly grown a steady following throughout the U.S, and is now available in over 100 retailers worldwide.
You can shop her stunning collection at christylynn.com.

Guests were invited to take their paper mache vases and wander through the hayfield to gather wildflowers

VIP ticket holders were able to pick out gorgeous potted succulents by Babe Blooms to go along with their VIP gift bag

Another way we like to highlight the small businesses that join our pop-up is by offering the option of a VIP ticket. By purchasing a VIP ticket, guests receive a  completely unique hand embroidered tote bag by us filled with goodies from some of our amazing pop-up brands. This year we extend a special thank you to @babeblooms for the gorgeous potted succulents, along with @hazenandco, @pippafraumeni, @cucliebaby, @floraisonlane, and @frockshoptx.

You can purchase block print tablecloths, napkins, placemats, and cocktail napkins at www.hibiscuslinens.com.

Thank you so much to everyone that joined us this Spring, we look forward to having you again during the Blue Hills Fall show. Follow @hibiscuslinens on Instagram to keep an eye out for when we announce the dates of the dinners!
