Immerse yourself in Mexico’s rich traditions and cultures and visit the homes and workshops of different artisans on this Hibiscus Linens retreat in San Miguel de Allende. You will learn color design during our natural plant dyeing session and make a journey to learn skills of weaving and hand embroidery, additional workshops like flower arrangements will be taking place during the week.
This is a 5 day trip designed to immerse you in the rich traditions and cultures that make up the vibrant historic town of San Miguel de Allende. You’ll visit some of the most beautiful and important cultural spaces of the city and witness the traditions of making native crafts.
A major craft category is textiles. Textiles, made from cotton and other fibers and produced on backstrap looms, date back to the early pre-Hispanic period. This form of weaving has been dominated by women since that time.
On this trip you will have a chance to see and taste it all!
